With an estimated 25,650
full-time students, Mt. SAC is the largest of the state's
72 community college districts. The student age range
is from 10 to 90 years, taking into account programs designed
for children and older adults. Nearly two-thirds of the
student population is in the 18-25 age range. Ethnically,
the majority of students are of Hispanic origin, followed
by Anglo, Asian, African American and Filipino ethnicities.
